Monday July 22, 2019 | Red Deer, AB – Blue, sunny skies set the scene for an amazing final day of Central Alberta’s Largest Summer Celebration. Over 29,453 guests were welcomed to Servus Credit Union Family Day at Westerner Days Fair & Exposition for a record-breaking Sunday! The day started off with Morning of Faith, where over 2,300 people joined together for a non-denominational worship service in the Westerner Park Centrium. The Red Deer Food Bank collected plenty of non-perishable food items donated by Morning of Faith attendees in lieu of their gate admission.
Sunday, July 21 | Red Deer, AB – The fourth day of Central Alberta’s largest summer celebration had an excellent turn out, with over 24,132 guests in attendance for the second last day of Westerner Days Fair & Exposition. Thanks to warmer temperatures and no trace of rain, visitors flocked to Westerner Park by the thousands to enjoy their Saturday at the Fair. Gates opened an hour early at 11 AM to give everyone a chance to experience what time is left of the event.
Saturday, July 20 | Red Deer, AB – Things heated up indoors on the Friday of Westerner Days Fair & Exposition as Central Alberta continued to experience rain and windy conditions. Over 10,978 people were welcomed to Westerner Park on the third day of the Fair, as crowds flocked to the indoor activities being offered at Westerner Days.
July 19, 2019 | Red Deer, AB – The second day of Westerner Days Fair & Exposition was dedicated to the kids. Over 11,862 kids and their family members enjoyed Tim Hortons Kids Day at Westerner Days, where kids received free admission into the Park until 6 PM. Tim Hortons was on site providing free coffee to Fair goers, which was a perfect way to warm up with the cold and wet summer weather.
July 18, 2019 | Red Deer, AB – Another beautiful edition of the Westerner Days Parade, presented by Holiday Inn, kicked off the week’s festivities this morning in downtown Red Deer. Over 130 Parade entries moved through the city’s historical downtown district under bright blue skies, while over 35,000 people lined the streets to watch the annual community event. The procession included a variety of well-decorated entries; spectators witnessed unique entries including horse-drawn wagons, decorated vehicles, elaborate floats, dance troops, mini cars and collector vehicles.
April 30, 2019 | Red Deer, AB – Westerner Days 2019 will be Well Worth the Ride! The official Westerner Days Event Launch was held on Tuesday, April 30 at Westerner Park’s new Exhibition Hall.
