Share the Fair

It allows our families of sick children to experience a piece of the fair when otherwise they could not." Linda Caponpon, Coordinator of Volunteer and Recreation Programs, Ronald McDonald House Charities® Central Alberta.

Continuing our ‘Share the Fair’ program, Westerner Park, in partnership with Olymel, offers the opportunity for sick kids and their families to experience Westerner Days. Representatives of Westerner Park and Olymel, along with various entertainers from this year’s event will visit the Ronald McDonald House Central Alberta and the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, July 20 to perform for the patients.

“Olymel is proud to once again sponsor the Share the Fair program. It gives us great pleasure to give back to the City of Red Deer and our employees, as some of our fellow citizens and their children may not be able to attend the fair due to illness. It is a tremendous opportunity for Olymel to help make the Westerner Days Fair & Exposition enjoyable to those at the Red Deer hospital and at Ronald McDonald house. Thank you to the Westerner Park and thank you Red Deer for supporting Olymel.” - Rob Ackerblade, Plant Manager, Olymel Red Deer.

“The share the fair program with Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful idea, it allows our families of sick children to experience a piece of the fair when otherwise they could not.” - Linda Caponpon, Coordinator of Volunteer and Recreation Programs, Ronald McDonald House Charities® Central Alberta.
